Premier hypermarché à ouvrir à la périphérie de Toulouse, in the countryside, along the route de Lavaur, il a vite été suivi par d’autres enseignes. Geant Casino (au Mirail) to été I inaugurated in 1970, tout comme l’Euromarche (the current Carrefour Purpan). Puis, l’année 1972 a vu l’ouverture d’un Carrefour to Portet-sur-Garonne.

New extension in 2009

Auchan-Gramont proposes to build 29,800 m² of sales area (13,182 m² of sales area developed for the Auchan hypermarket and 16,700 m² for 81 boutiques).
It is situated in a zone that has seen the first years of the emergence of novels in teaching with Culture and also of a nouveau quartier with the construction of « l’éco-quartier Vidailhan ».
Une zone désormais très engorgée

Car si la zone s’est fortement développée autour d’Auchan, les axes routiers ont peu évolué. Le site, malgré l’apport du métro, est désormais un entonnoir bien engorgé.
